    Default F/Sgt. R. J. Southgate

    Good Morning Everyone,
I am seeking any information re F/Sgt. R.J. Southgate 1399839. I believe that he received his pilot's badge at RCAF Weyburn, Saskatchewan probably late 1943 or early 1944 and was on Course 54 SPTU at RAF Cark in January 1945 as per photograph in "Wings Over Sands" by John Nixon.
Any other information whatsoever will be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Roy Wilcock

    Hello Roy

Air 78/149 has SOUTHGATE Robert James 1399839. The card has the abbreviation 'AB' on it too.

Two possibles on FreeBMD as far as I can see (nothing on the Scotland's People website):

Robert J. Southgate, birth regd June 1914, Tynemouth, m.m.s. Groom - however his middle name is John (via family tree on ancestry.co.uk)

So, more possibly Robert J. Southgate, birth regd. December 1921, Wandsworth, m.m.s. Stafford

    Regards

    Simon
