    Default 550 Sqn bomb load.

    Hi All,

Could anyone with the ORB’s for 550 Sqn tell me the bomb load for Lancaster LM301 which was lost on the attack on Berlin on 2/3 December 1943. The bomber crashed at Wasbüttel.

My guess is 1 X 4,000 plus incendiaries.

    Many thanks,

    John.

    The Loss Card shows:

    1 x 4000lb HC
    56 x 30 Incendiaries
    1050 x 4 Incendiaries
    120 x 4 "x" Incendiaries

    Regards
