    Default Circus 15 - 18 June 1941 - losses

    Hello
    Does anyone have any information about circumstances of loss of Sgt K.M. Palmer in Spitfire VB P8254 and Sgt G.M. Turnbull in Spitfire VB P8328 of 145 Sqn? Both were taken PoW following Circus 15 on 18 June 1941.
    TIA

    Franek;

    According to Franks both were shot down by JG26 whilst on Circus 14 (perhaps should read Circus 15). AB Serials adds (for both a/c) 'shot down by BF109's while escorting Blenheims to Foret de Guines'.

    Thanks Dave, but I need more details on circumstances. The problem is, that the German claims do not add up, and I have a combat report stating that two Messerschmitts were downed out of the same formation, and seemingly at least one of the pilots baled out. It would be too risky to make a claim over such a weak assumption, however, hence the request.
