    Hello,

    AUSTRALIA.

56876 LAC Roy Charles BOHUN RAAF.

56876 LAC Roy Charles BOHUN RAAF (of the Governor-General's Flight, Canberra), was seriously injured on 30 November, 1946, when the vehicle he was driving struck a guide post on the Hume Highway, Goulburn. The vehicle rolled over three times and stopped 85 yards from the post. LAC Bohun RAAF died after admission to hospital. The following individuals sustained injuries:

51271 LAC David Leslie ARMSTRONG RAAF - Probable fracture of right hip and severe shock
153039 LAC Edward James BURKE RAAF - Minor injuries
131706 LAC James Albert COOK RAAF* - Minor injuries
149888 LAC Alfred Keith EVERARD RAAF - Probable fracture of the skull, broken nose, injuries to both eyes and extreme shock.

The men were returning to RAAF Station, Canberra, after a brief visit to Goulburn.

    * It is believed that 131706 LAC James Albert COOK RAAF, was killed in an accident in Bofu, Japan, on 9 May, 1947, whilst serving with No.76 Sqn RAAF. He was descending by a rope, which was used as a fire escape, in the early hours of the morning when the rope broke.
