Default Howard, Philip Norman, F/t 126785 RAFVR.

    Hello,

    Howard, Philip Norman F/Lt - 126785 - RAFVR.
Reported to have been the pilot of a 129 Squadron Mustang, serial number FB147 that was lost on the 25th September '44.
F/Lt Howard however has a date of death (see CWGC) as 1st October '44.
Why the difference in dates, did he evade capture or was he wounded/injured and surcumed days after the crash ?
Or is there some conflict about these dates ?

    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

It appears F/Lt Howard survived his wounds for six days.
