Default NZ413068 Sqn Ldr Norman Douglas Harrison, 32 Sqn

    Hello,

During his time as CO of 32 Sqn May-Aug 1944 Harrison was shot down, but with the aid of partisans made it back to his squadron within ten days.

Is someone able to confirm for me the date he was shot down, please? Any further details about the episode would also be most welcome.

Thanking you in advance for any assistance offered.

    Hi Errol,

I have checked the ORB for you:
10.5. S/Ldr Harrison posted in to command the Squadron
25.8. S/Ldr Harrison posted to No. 3 Base Personnel Depot as Tour Expired

I have also seen few flights made by him between those dates abut did not see any remark he did not returned. I can check it out once more later.

Many thanks Pavel. I've also reviewed the 32 Sqn ORBs for May-Aug 1944 when Harrison was in command but, like yourself, found no entry to back up the claim.
