    Default 222 Sqn - 7-3-1944

F/Sgt (Pilot) John Malcolm MORRIS - 791193 (fm S.Africa) was killed this day, flying with 222 Sqn.
Can't find a matching a/c (Spitfire) serial in my files.
    Who may help me out.
Regards and thanks for your help.
    Henk.

Definately EP660 which was with 222 Sqn Cat 2 incident on 7-3-44

From Jim Corbetts old ACIA Accident Database

    Hi Henk
Can't add much, but 222 were at Acklington when Morris was killed although Jefford's RAF Squadrons records that they moved to Hornchurch 3 days later. He is buried at Chevington which is close to Acklington and his death is registered in Northumberland N 2ND District which is right for a death in that area. It might help to narrow your search. Fighter Command Losses Vol 3 doesn't record his loss
    Regards
    Dick
