    Hi all,

    few details for
    19/.- Wellington Ic - 311 Sqn - DV779.
    from the ORB:

    During take-off, crashed about 400 yds from end of Runway.
    A/C completely burnt out, but crew escaped with some burns, and scratches.

    I was recently sent a page of the log book for an airman who was on board AL519 and I noted that there was a number of old threads about that aircraft.

    The AIr81 is a few months away I guess so for now,
    The pilot listed in the log book is W/O Robins
    and the man whose log book it was:

    Sgt George William DAVIES 952226, Flight Engineer

    He later survived the crash of Sunderland DD848 in Ireland.
