    JEFFREYS, Sidney Walter - AC1c - 1417884 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Ham Green Sanatorium, Bristol.

    MERRILEES, James Alexander - LAC - 974938 - the Lancashire Evening Post of January 17th (note date) 1947 reported the
    following:

    R.A.F. Man Dies After Kirkham Road Accident
    A fatal accident occurred at the junction of Blackpool Road and Ribby Road, Kirkham, last night, when as a motor car was taking a bend, two airmen fell from its rear.
    One of them, A./C. James Alexander Merrilees, aged 29, of the R.A.F., Kirkham, and belonging to Seaforth, Liverpool, was taken to the R.A.F. Hospital at Weeton, but was dead on arrival.
    The other airman, Corporal John Joseph Shehan, of the R.A.F., Kirkham, received only slight injuri
    es.
