Default Bomber Command target Codes 1940

    Hi,

Looking for a copy of this document if it is available. Trying, unsuccessfully to put locations / targets against codes, example C.146 B.290.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Steve,

Not a copy, but what you want!

    See: http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/17286.php

    AIR 10/3993 - http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ils/r/C3304407

    AIR 10/3994 - http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ils/r/C3304406

Hopefully, someone might already have these files.

    Hi Steve

Not a direct answer, but if you look at the link which Col's given to a post which I submitted some 11 years ago (!!!) it'll show you how I was able to identify some targets labelled in this way by cross-referencing two large books (the two documents with the "AIR 10/----" references) held up at Kew.

I'm not aware that there's any easier way, given the number of targets listed in small detail down to the level of individual factories or complexes. Sorry. As I said, one of the books was about a hundred pages long, the other about 200!
