    Default Reginald Lionel Castellari

I am trying to locate a photograph of my uncle, Reginald Lionel Castellari. He was a Wireless op/Air gunner on Wellington BK464 AS-N, which was lost over Le Harvre on 11th April 1943. The aircraft was part of 502 aircraft that raided Frankfurt and one of 21 that failed to return. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Hello,

Can't help with a photo of your uncle, but I can tell you that Sgts P.R. Hall, H Elliott and E.J. Peacock (later members of your uncle's crew), were involved in an incident on 20 December 1942, at Kirmington, when No.150 Sqn Wellington III BK180 crashed while trying to go round again. The crew had misjudged their first approach, due to the prevailing cross wind. No deaths, but 3 were injured. (see: BCL3/281).
