    Cause of death not stated in the service record.

    DEATH OF OMAGH WING-COMMANDER VERDICT AT INQUEST.
    Recording A verdict of accidental death at the inquest in Essex on Wednesday on
    Wing Commander William H. MacGrath (29). principal medical officer of Air Headquarters East Africa, Nairobi,
    Ore coroner. Mr. L. F. Bescie. said McGrath was evidently wrapping a piece of cloth round a revolver to
    put in his case when packing when it when it went off. MacGrath, who was shortly to be demobilised
    after four years' service abroad. entertained a few officers in his cabin the night before he was due to disembark from the
    S S. Chitral at Tilbury. Essex. They left him to finish his packing. and a few hours later je was found dying on the
    floor of the cabin with a bullet wound in the head and a revolver with one spent and five live cartridgei near him.
    Three other officers were sharing his cabin, but none of them heard a gun fired. MacGrath was on his way home to Wesley Lodge. Omagh.
