Since 2012, I have been looking for the loss given by witnesses as an English twin-engined aircraft of the Blenheim model. Loss in September 1942 in Plougonver.
Both airmen were helped by a woman and her farm worker. This lady was the wife of the mayor of the village of Plougonver, she was denounced and deported, and never returned from the camps.
The witnesses of the time quote a Blenheim, but two aviators, I think also a Beaufighter. It is said that the two men reach Nantes fairly quickly and are supported by an escape network that directs them to England a few days later.
