A little bit to the puzzle: He was posted to CFS when he left 41 Squadron on March 5th 1941.

    Roy/John,
6 May 1958 A/Sqn Ldr Dennis Arthur Adams (90537, AAF) Relinquished his Commission.
He was Cmd 11 Oct 1938 into 611 (West Lancs) (Bomber) Sqn, AAF. He must have been at least 18? Therefore his birth tpq should be 1920? (Probably(?) Births Q1 1920 Adams, Dennis A, (MMS Elliott) Reg Cirencester 6a 892?). Don't know what his family background is/was.
If so, then he Relinquished his Commission aged only 38! Nothing of significance in The Times.

    Hi Steve,
It certainly fills in some gaps, many thanks. There seems to be a large gap from Feb 42 when he left 15 SFTS arriving at 9 IAF Ramu 6-11-44. Possibly on training courses to be a SL.
    A very grateful Roy

    No worries.

    What's your interest in Adams?

    Hi Steve,
I contacted you when you went to Switzerland many years ago. I told you about Adams being on 9 IAF sqn and you were very helpful to me. Looking at your updated info I have been unable to find the a/c ID for his claim on 27-11-40 on 41 sqn.
To answer your question, what is my interest in Adams, well my home county of Leicestershire donated 17 Spitfires and 1 Hurricane. He flew XA4592/B on 41 sqn. Keep up the good work,
    Roy

Hi Roy, that was a long time ago! I lived in Switzerland for 11 years, but left in early 2006.

    Thanks for (re-)explaining your interest.

    All the best
