Default Help with pilot evaluation understanding

    Hi all,

I will be very glad if anybody can help me to understand (as not native speaker) to the chief instructor evaluation of one pilot u/t:

"A very sound and level headed pilot."

I would expect it may mean someting like "calm and making a sensible decisions"?

    TIA

    Pavel

    Correct, plus 'sound' implies 'reliable'.

Bruce thank you for confirmation + "translation" of sound - it was the most difficult part for me.
