Hi all, few bits and pieces for 311 Sq losses:

    21 - Liberator GR.V - 311 Sqn - BZ780 - ( 42-40678 ).
First operational loss after re.training on Liberators, crew led by the squadron CO W/Cdr J. Breitcetl DFC - he was the only CO who got killed on operation.

    29 - Liberator GR.V - 311 Sqn - BZ775 - ( 42-40643 ).
Operational crew of F/O A. Musálek lost after take of for operational sortie, crashed into woods around Beaulieu.

    30 - Liberator GR.V - 311 Sqn - BZ785 - ( 42-63809 ).
Crew of six crashed during a training flight - practice of corkscrew maneuvre. Beileved the crash has happened due to the to much self-confident captain F/Lt E. Palichleb who was not so experienced pilot. He was a navigator with the squadron during the Bomber Command period.

Hi all, I think following losses may be also added:

    7 - Mitchell II - 111(C) OTU - FV953/FA
Crashed after take off, Nassau, Bahamas.
Crew of 5 + instructor killed, they were passing an operational course before posting to 311 Sq.

    30 - Liberator GR VI - 311 Sqn - EV948
Aricraft attacked by Ju88 during patrol over Bay of Biscay and returned safely. Unfortunately 788294 Sgt Andrej SIMEK got killed by enemy fire.
