    Default Help with an abbreviation

A memo written in 1940 to the Deputy Chief Air Services is signed by someone who has the abbreviation D.H.O. under his name,. Can anyone tell me what D.H.O. stood for?

    Hello Bob,
Is there any indication of what department the 'DHO' represented? Is it an internal Air Minisitry memo for example?

No clue but a guess would be Air Ministry or Bomber Command.
A reply from DCAS states ' I agree that a Whitley should be added to this establishment of 419 Flight.
I think the Flight should be transferred from Fighter Command to Bomber Command'

    Try "Directorate of Home Operations".

I think you will find that DCAS is Deputy Chief of the Air Staff?
