Froud had been discharged on medical grounds in June 1945. No clear details of what medical cause but probably just an unfortunate young man. He appears to have been in the aircrew training regime, but medically unable to complete. Gleaned from a browse of his service file on ancestry.com

Further to the death of 84248 LAC Robert Edward Hebburton DODD RAAF:
LAC Dodd RAAF, a Radio Tele Operator, was killed when he was accidentally electrocuted when off duty. He made contact with a high tension electrical circuit when he was in the electrical transformer room, where he came in contact with a cable carrying a high tension current and was killed instantly.
