    Sergeant Shepherd SOTHERAN (751010):

His unit is listed as 2 S.o.A.C. on the Graves Registration Report, and Graham Warner on page 248 of his Bristol Blenheim book has:

Death registered at Andover, so possibly Blenheim N3555 of 2 School of Army Co-Operation. Crashed when hit trees at Andover on night take off, crashed 2 miles west of airfield, destroyed by fire. P/O George R. LAMBERT - 42846 - RAF [from Canada]) and one unnamed WOp/AG killed.

Furthermore, the Middlesbrough Daily Gazette of July 9th 1940 reported the following:

News has been received of the death in a flying accident of Sergt. Shepherd Sotheran (32), of 69, Sandringham Road, West Hartlepool. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Sotehran, of 4, King Street, Hartlepool.
