Moose Jaw Flying club, while Macguire was taking lessons prior to applying for an instructorship in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
During the coroner's jury inquiry, held under direction of Dr. J. M. Hourigan, another flying club in structor, W. A. Snider,
testified that the crash occurred when the "ceiling" dropped fom 3,000 to 500 feet
