Hi
My apologies, I took my entry from Hobson 'Airmen died in WW2', yet another of the errors on the DVD.

As usual, Henk seems to have been on it,

I used Malcolm's RAFWEB to update that - I will have to correct it.

I Think we have tail wagging dog here - As I think we spectated a long time ago Price was on the Oxford - And no one disputed the link - I wonder if that is where CH got his info from :-)
Hi Paul
I took the data on Hilsdon from Hobson I didn't have Price on the Oxford nor did Hobson.
Malcolm

Took me a while to find him . PRICE , an MT driver attached to RAF honnington , died on Burford road , curbridge , witney , of a fractured skull and. Right tibia and other multiple injuries when a motorcycle he was riding collided with a Lorre. I have NO mention of hilsdon linked with him but as Paul suspected , the co incidence of the same area , cause and both being RAF is rather striking. I can’t currently prove it . I’ve never tried . Oxford shire coronors reports are not ones I’ve yet requested to go and see , but I’d bet on it

They maybe on same MotorCycle - But I note Hilsdon says Witney to Oxford Road (B4022) , whereas Price on Burford Rd (B4047) is the other side of Witney
Hi
The death from Burns in 208 Sqn was AC1 F D Linaker.
Emery was serving with No 226 Sqn, and died from peritonitis in No 1 or 2 Medical Receiving Station following an operation for appendicitis.
