    Hi John
What is the date of the crash? A Halifax had a crew of at least 7, so you have 5 more names to find.
Since the first part I have found the details in Chorley's Bomber Command Losses Vol 5.
Steel and Moss were the only 2 who died. The rest of the crew were
F/O J F Bester, Nav, RCAF who evaded capture
F/O J D Siddall, Air Bomber, RCAF, who also evaded
    F/Sgt H Atkin,W/op,RCAF-POW
    Sgt G G C Brown, M/U Gunner,-POW
    Sgt J E Finnie, Rear Gunner,RCAF-POW
Steel and Moss are buried at Allainville, close to where they came down
    Regards
    Dick

    Hello John,
This aircraft is being discussed on this forum later - I guess you have noticed. What is your interest in this aircraft?

    John,
From "They Shall Grow Not Old":
    F/O C.A. Moss, age 21
    July 5th/44 - Target: Villeneuve-St.George, France.
Halifax a/c LW166 missing from night ops. against (target).
"F/O Moss maintained control of the a/c long enough for his crew to bail out but he went down with the a/c."
The sqdn. operations record book lists the crew's op. tally as follows:
    - F/O Moss - 6 ops completed
    - remainder of crew: 4 ops completed
    Cheers.
