Thanks Paul. As you say, quite a few famous names.

My interests are, of course, Smythies on Crse 1, Murlis-Green & Meredith on Crse 2, and Collishaw on Crse 3, who all served on 41 Sqn.

This post should at least become a good point of future reference.

    Cheers

The wartime AFLs and CAFLs don't give Staff College details.

I have a history of the Staff College (Middle East) at Haifa with course details, if that's any use.

    Hi Malcolm,
I would be interested in learning more about the courses offered at the RAF Staff College in Haifa. An individual I am researching, W/C Forgrave Marshall "Hiram" Smith, attended Staff College in Haifa in 1944. Upon completing his studies there, he was posted to Air HQ New Delhi as Wing Commander Ops.

    Thanks,
    Neil

    Hi Steve

    Smith was a member of No 11 War Course (31 Jan 1944 - 11 May 1944).

There is also a group photo, which I can scan and put in Dropbox for you. (Done)

The annex with course timetable only gives a single week (5th).
