    Not sure where "American" comes from. Her parents and her were all born in Ottawa, she in 1882.
    Retired 21 February 1943. Obituary in several Canadian newspapers state death followed a "lengthy illness"

    WW2 is a bit early for Allied Rapid Reaction Corps!!! Almost certainly - given her status/profession - ARRC is Associate of the Royal Red Cross (a nursing "gong")!
