Hi all,

I would like to ask if there was any "manual" in form of Air Publication for example for Squadron COs with list of duties etc.? Or he as Flight Commander (in most cases) had to learn it himself from his predecessor. But what about case when the CO got killed or went missing? Was the adjutant the right person who was capable to devote new CO into his duties?
I am interested what for he was responsible. I have read the King's Regulation where some basic rules are stated but I think there was much more in fact.
I am also interested if he was obliged to fly operation sorties (if he was a W/Cdr Flying) and finish his tour of duty or just "maintenance" flying would be enough? I have several examples of both.

Any additional info regarding this theme would be much appreciated

TIA

Pavel
