Default Identification of an aircraft lost off Drem 20 December 1941

    Morning,

An aircraft from 340 Sqn was lost off Drem while on practice flight on 20 December 1941. The French pilot, Slt M. Daligot got separated and eventually got lost. He later said that he was about to bale out but was never seen again. 340 was equipped with Spitfire IIs at that time but didn't find any match in A-B register.

    Does anyone know?

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

unfortunately no ifo about him in the ORB (F540) except ASR searches on 21.12.1941. You can check it out yourself in the ORB preview online: http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ils/r/D8402035

At the time F541 mentioned Spitfires with serials from ranges P7xxx a P8xxx, that is all what I can add.
