    1. Who was killed in Hurricane Z7072 of 232 Sqd on October 25th 1941?

    "Engine cut, lost height and crash-landed near Ouston."

    2. Who was killed in Hurricane Z3182 of 133 Sqd on October 27th 1941?

    "Crashed at Rosharkin, Ulster. Probably loss of control in cloud."

    3. Who went missing in Spitfire AD250 of 129 Sqd on October 28th?

    "Sortie to shoot down drifting balloon. In sea 10 miles off Littlehampton, Sussex."

    Any info appreciated.

    Sgt Bryan Dickson Waghorn was my uncle and the brother of Battle of Britain pilot Sgt Peter Waghorn who was killed in action 11 April 1941 over Malta.

    (10 [RAAF] Sqn - Mount Batten/Devonshire). Fell in sea at Barbican and drowned.


    Flying Officer Dennis Charles BARRETT 75922 211 Sqdn 1941-01-02 RAFVR Greece Phaleron War Cemetery
    (Tatoi-Menidi/Greece). (DS-64). Returning from a party at Maxim's in Athens a car containing several officers crashed into a tree; died of injuries and buried Phalaron WC.


    Aircraftman 2nd Class Stuart Frederick WALTERS R71348 1 TTS (RCAF) 1941-01-13 RCAF Canada Winnipeg (Elmwood) Cemetery
    (MB-793). (St.Thomas/Ontario). Was killed when struck by a bus, while off duty, on Highway # 4, 800 meters north of the TTS - buried Winnipeg/Manitoba.

    (Canada). (MB-249). (RCAF Station Vancouver/B.C.) Was on night duty and was killed when a tractor fell over the edge of the sea wall at Vancouver pinning him to the float on which he was standing - buried Calgary/Alberta.

    N.Ireland). (MB-846). (Moose Jaw/Saskatchewan). Killed in a car accident - buried Moose Jaw/Saskatchewan.


    Flying Officer Jesse Augustus BALDWIN C2292 6 SFTS (RCAF) 1941-04-18 RCAF Canada Montreal (Mount Royal) Cemetery
    (MB-29). (Dunnville/Ontario). Fire Officers Quarters at Dunnville - returned to the burning building to retrieve some of his kit; was overcome by smoke and later carried out of the building unconscious by P/O F.H. McNiel, Toronto. He had suffered extensive burns to his back and legs and died short before 22.00h in the General Hospital - buried Montreal/Quebec.

    (Portreath/Cornwall). Was run over by a mobile floodlight 410627 and seriously injured; died 410701.


    Warrant Officer Walter DOE 347541 49 Sqdn 1941-07-05 RAF UK Dundee Eastern Necropolis
    (Scampton/Lincolnshire). Was involved in a motorcycle accident in a collision with a car in Ermine Street, Lincoln. Died of his injuries in the Bracebridge Military Hospital.

    The Windsor, Slough & Eton Express: Accidentally shot by a pistol which was believed to be unloaded. He was in a building, in the room below where someone was demonstrating the use of a pistol to an officer; the person thought the pistol was unloaded, pulled the trigger and the shot went through the floor killing airman Samuels below.
