    Default Henry "Hank" Wardle

Hello . New member. I'm interested in researching the escape of Hank Wardle from Colditz. He was a Canadian flying with the RAF when shot down and captured. I would like to find as much primary documentation as possible. I believe MI-9 used to de-brief successful escapees. Would this be a good starting point?

    Hello

Sure the evasion files in the WO 208 series at Kew is the good starting point.

Then Steve Smith, who visits this board, is the Squadron historian. So he can surely help you.

See RCAF Association awards website - http://rcafassociation.ca/heritage/search-awards/ using WARDLE and "Last Name" for entry.
