    AUSTRALIA.

    16420 LAC Albert Leonard HAINS RAAF.

    16420 LAC (Fitter IIE) Albert Leonard HAINS RAAF (of No.4 Squadron RAAF), was killed at Fairbairn Air Base, Canberra, A.C.T., on 24 June, 1947, when the fire tender on which he was riding was struck by a No.75 Squadron RAAF, Mustang A68-43, piloted by 402 W/C Richard CRESSWELL RAAF. An inquest returned a finding of accidental death.
