Default Barbadian RAF personnel Errol Barrow

I am looking for some information relating to Errol Barrow (first PM of Barbados), he served in the RAF during WW2, in Bomber Command originally, having joined in December 1940, as part of the 2nd contingent from Barbados. By 1945, he was a Flying Officer and 'personal navigator' to Sir William Sholto Douglas, CinC occupied zone Germany. I would like to know which squadron and the type of aircraft he would have flown when in Bomber Command.
    Many thanks Ross

I note you posted this in 2008 and it's now 2019. The information you were looking for is all covered in a recent posting on Errol Barrow that covers his seven years as a RAFVR.
    See: https://www.bajanthings.com/flying-officer-errol-walton-barrow-navigator-raf-world-war-ii-and-prime-minister-of-barbados/

Errol Barrow’s RAF war time story has been pieced together using:

    • his redacted Record of Service papers that were released by the Ministry of Defence Headquarters Air Command RAF Cranwell
    • 88 Squadron Operations Record Books which are held by the National Archive at Kew:
      – RAF form 540 – which summarises daily operations by month
      – RAF form 541 – which list by day the aircraft and crews that took part in daily operations.
    • RCAF training records.

    Hope that helps

    PB
