    Default JA. Clark.

Cannot find any info on this pilot. JA. Clark 657504, service number possibly wrong. He did two second dickie ops in Oct 43 with 408 Squadron and then drops off the earth.

    Thanks Richard

Aeroplane Magazine of August 20th 1943 has:

Wounded or Injured on Active Service
    657504 Sgt. J. A. Clark

Flight Magazine has him similarly listed in Casualty Communique No. 262, August 5th 1943, but no Service Number.

The 408 Sqn ORB Form 540 for August 1943 has the following under POSTINGS IN (AIRCREW):

    657504 Sgt CLARK, J.A. (Pilot); R123715 Sgt. Inverarity, J.A. (Nav); 1318350 Sgt. Griggs, R.W. (WOP/AG); 1434986 Sgt. Williams, R.G. (A/B); 612399 Sgt. Lowery, R.W. (MU/G); 1049183 Sgt. Hugill, H. (F/Eng); R137268 Sgt. Rolph, R.H. (A/G). Posted from 1679 C.U. w.e.f. 25.8.43.

    Regards

Thanks for the quick reply, Simon. Out of 3700 RAF types that flew with 6 Group on ops, I have 10 that need service number verification.

Incidently Richard, have you those 3000 names and serials online? If I was google searching for example might they be captured?
