    Hello,

86623 F/L Robert Ernest Julien WILMET RAFVR.

    https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/c...ernest-julien/

(Originally buried Yaba Cemetery, Lagos. Plot 4. Row D. Grave 9. Remains later repatriated to Belgium).

    1-8-1942
    No.609 Sqn
    Typhoon IB R7883:PR-E

Hydraulic failure and wheels up at Duxford.

    F/O R E J Wilmet RAFVR - Safe.

    The following is known:

    27-4-1943
    No.349 Sqn
    Tomahawk IIB AK150

Abandoned after engine failure near Takoradi, Gold Coast

    F/L R E J Wilmet RAFVR +? (can't read 349 Sqn ORB, too blurry!)

Does anyone have Guy De Win's 3-Volume work, 349 (Belgian) Sqn "From Sunrise till Sunset"? It may help in clearing up Wilmet's death.
