    SRI LANKA
    KINSHOTT, John Brian - AC2c - 4002537 - the Bexhill-on-Sea Advertiser of August 30th 1947 reported that he accidentally drowned when the boat in which he was sailing overturned on Koggala Lake. Efforts to rescue him were made by two companions.

    433069 W/O Leon Patrick McINERNEY RAAF.

    433069 W/O Leon Patrick McINERNEY RAAF (ex-Air and Ground Radio School, Ballarat, Victoria), was officially discharged from the RAAF on 16 February, 1946. He passed away, from unknown causes, at Mildura, Victoria, on 16 August, 1947.

    From the archives of the Catholic Weekly (Sydney):-

    "Mr. Mclnerney enlisted at the age of 18 with the R.A.A.F., and served till the end of hostilities. Then he went to Mildura to continue his studies. Death was caused by leukemia."
