    Default 35 Squadron .... Shirley

I am trying to identify the service number and forename(s) of a Canadian airman, J Shirley, who served as an Air Gunner with No. 35 Squadron (and possibly 635 Squadron) in 1943/1944.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Regards

    Pete

Just confirm, have you been through both ORB's to see if number is quoted.

I'm thinking the new watermarked ORBs on TNA.

Been through the 35 Squadron ones, but planning to try 635 Squadron's tonight. The problem I have is that I have initials of J, JW, AAR, SHA and also that he was known as Dick ..... so really I am looking for any possible Shirley and hoping that the information that I have that he was a Canadian is correct!

Obviously, as NCO, ORB information is limited

.... perhaps a needle in a haystack .... but thought I would give a try

    Regards

    UPDATE

No 635 Squadron ORB shows RHA Shirley (which ties in with him being called Dick) .... so Richard HA Shirley is now the target
