    BOYD, James - LAC - 1349520 - there's a James Boyd, aged 43 (CWGC has 42), on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website, died Agust 29th 1947 at 2.30 a.m. at 18 Bredisholm Road, Baillieston, due to Pthisis.

    McILWHAN, Edward - AC2c - 4010348 - he's recorded as McIlwham on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website, which records that he died at 4.20 a.m. at the Royal Infrimary, Falkirk, due to multiple head injuries, the result of a road accident.

    OLIVER, George Henry Paul - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at the R.A.F. Hospital, Isle of Ely.

    TAPLIN, Cyril Robert - Cpl - 1010436 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at The Hospital, Warwick.

    McILWHAN, Edward - AC2c - 4010348 - he's recorded as McIlwham on the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website, which records that he died at 4.20 a.m. at the Royal Infrimary, Falkirk, due to multiple head injuries, the result of a road accident.
    OLIVER, Norman Ormiston - AC2c - 4011148 - the Hull Daily Mail of August 29th 19647, amongst others, reported that he and Nurse Harthill, aged 19, died as a result of the same accident, which occurred near Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire. They were members of a party of 14 returning from an R.A.F. dance at Grangemouth, when the truck in which they were travelling collided with a railway bridge. As well as the three deaths, eight people were injured. It records that McIlwhame [sic] was serving with 243 M.U., and that Nurse Harthill died on the way to Falkirk Hospital, where she had worked for a year. The Aberdeen Press and Journal of August 30th records Nurse Harthill's name as Euphemia Harthill.
