3rd Update to the Database - Thunderbolts and Liberators

250+ Thunderbolt losses to the DB. Covers South and South East Asia. With the exception of 73 OTU at Fayid, Egypt, these cover almost all the losses of Thunderbolts in RAF service.

Sources for this - Form 540s/541s of various units, Colin Cumming's books, Air Britain's RAF Serials (J J Halley).

In the bargain, a few discrepancies from latter sources surfaced mostly because they would have been based on Aircraft Movement Cards. So when there is no mention of some losses in a Squadron's ORB.. i have marked them with a 'Not' in front of the Unit number...

Similarly 161 B-24 Liberator losses have been added to the DB.

Liberator losses have been treated slightly different - clicking on the Pilot's name would take you to the CWGC deaths for the day belonging to the same unit - and in many cases giving a crew listing.

I have to be thankful to Matt Poole for sharing his extensive work on the Liberator Losses to make this happen.

As usual the regular sources - Air Britain, Colin Cummings, Joe Baugher etc have been consulted as well.

Hi Jagan

In the SEAC database this is shown as 'not 79', with the comment ' not in ORB', however, the ORB does mention it.

It is quoted as the aircraft in which Lt Martyn Bruce Hall was lost in on 10 Feb 1945 during a bombing sortie to Thila.
