Default No. 3 Pupil Pilots Pool, Wolverhampton

Hi all, I would like to ask what was the purpose of this unit (approx. in summer 1942) and what pilot cadets were doing there?
I understand from service record of one pilot that he was posted there after the EFTS and he has spent there approx a month before being posted to the SFTS.
So was it just some kind of depot where the cadets were waiting for free capacity in next stage of training or some training was done there also?

    TIA

This is an extract from https://dunxc2.wixsite.com/pypard/1940-41, suggesting that your assumption is correct; however, it doesn't add any information regarding the training that was undertaken during the posting:

"On 11th October (not 3rd November, as has been stated), No.2 Pupil Pilots Pool was formed at Clyffe Pypard, to act as a holding unit for flight cadets who had completed their ab initio training and were awaiting a posting to an SFTS"
