    If anyone can look up this in J Serials please ? and provide a date, unit and fate ?

    I can then compare with what I have and correct/update/provide additional info

    The date is wrong. The correct date is Monday October 23st 1933

    AW Atlas (AW296) J9050 The pilot was A P/O Knowlden Campbell Willett aged 23 of No. 5 Flying Training School, Sealand Flying Solo who suffered a Broken Leg and was treated at Chester Infirmary


    “He was seen flying low solo over a Farm the Duke Westminster's estate, at Eccleston, near Chester”

    Apparently totally unlinked was the fact his Uncle worked on the Estate :-)

    Date and serial confirmed via a photo in Liverpool Echo - Tuesday 24 October 1933 has "J" and "05" visible
