    Default French Airfield Identification needed.

    Hi,

I have a diary of a chap who served with 218 Squadron Sept- Dec 1939. In it he refers to French Curtiss fighters from an airfield he records as Vey Thuyy? The ORB records it as 'Ves Thuisy'

I appreciate that his French may not have been that great, he was a lowly LAC airgunner after all! I cannot find a airfield of this name, or anything like it, any pointers most welcome.

    TIA

    Steve

    Hello
It's indeed Wez-Thuisy, which is a famous WW2 airfield connected to the Curtiss fighters.
