    Default CLA search

    Hi all,

I would like to ask for explanation for "CLA search using 2 miles tracks" which was used by the ASR and CC aircraft for missing crew in 1945.

    TIA

    Hi Pavel:

CLA is the abbreviation for Creeping Line Ahead, flown from side to side and usually ahead of a convoy when looking for surfaced U-boats. In this case the tracks are two miles apart.
