    RATCHFORD, John William - Leading Air Mechanic - FX.84307 - registered Kensington. He was the son of John William Ratchford Snr, who died in June 1944 as the result of injuries sustained in an air raid:

    147391 LAC Raymond Alexander SULLIVAN RAAF.

    147391 LAC Raymond Alexander SULLIVAN RAAF (ex-RAAF EAST SALE), was officially discharged from the RAAF on 2 May, 1946. He died (suddenly), at his residence in Caulfield on 2 October, 1947.

    1885 Cpl Dermot Lang NIVEN RAAF.

    1885 Cpl (Labourer) Dermot Lang NIVEN RAAF (ex- Station H.Q. RICHMOND), was officially discharged (as medically unfit for further service), on 25 December, 1941. Dermot Lang was nearly 32 years of age on enlistment in the RAAF. He had previously served for 7 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a trained nurse (2 years in the UK, and 2 years in Cairo). Dermot died of an unspecified illness, at his mother's residence at Artarmon, New South Wales, on 3 October, 1937. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 12 April, 1903, and arrived at Sydney aboard the "Strathaird", on 26 February, 1935.

    I think Hazle probably died at Kasfareet rather than Kasforelt

    Thanks for correction. Yes, the correct date of death for Dermot Niven should read; 3 October, 1947. One other matter that needs to be attended to - Niven served for 5 years in Cairo, not 2 years as stated.
