Default Any RAF aircraft lost in the south west of france ?

I am trying to help someone to find the name of an English crewman who was hidden in Beauville:
this is at the border between Tarn et garonne/Lot et garonne (north east of Agen, north west of Montauban).

This English crewman was a pilot, he had bailed out, he was wounded and was hidden by his family, he mentioned the radar that helped them see the German fighters chasing them.

They stayed in contact with the family of this crewman until 2000's, then lost contact, and he would like to renew it now.

So, the question is : do you have in your records any RAF aircraft crashed in this area ?

I know it is a long shot but....

    Thanks in advance

    Hello GC,
Perhaps you can find his name in one of the lists in this site ?

    http://www.conscript-heroes.com/esca...PGnumbers.html

Then contact the site who may well be able to give you up to date details ?

There are many other websites that you may like to search through for the name and therefore contact details.

    Good luck
    Alex

    Thanks Alex

I had in mind the Mosquito PZ186 from 51 squadron with Richard Chudleigh from 151 Squadron that crashed hear Feugarolles on 4 August 1944 (navigator was killed).

Let us wait and see if my contact finds more information in his family.

    all best

    Gillles
