    Peter,

    I was thinking that, but the instructor was Squadron Leader Robert Blucke AFC. The aircraft mentioned Anson L9155 and Percival Gull P1752 give no clue either at this time.

    1 Oct 1936 Prom Sqn Ldr (aged 39)
    1939 Instructing on Lorenz @ Mildenhall (aged 42)
    1949 Tour in FE as AVM.
    d. Q4 1988 Reg Uckfield 18 1261.

    From "The Anson File"; Anson L9155 - 24 Sqdn, Beam Approach Training and Development Unit, Wireless Intelligence Development Unit, 109 Sqn., 5 Air Observers School., 10 OAFU(DL). SOC16.8.44.
    You will need L9155's record card from Hendon for the dates of movement between units.

    From "On the Wings Of a Gull" - Vega Gull c/no. K.96. Fitted with Gipsy VI #4200. Purchased by Air Ministry under Contract No.812425/38 and TOC as P1752 and to 24 Sqn, Hendon 25.11.38.
    Forced landed in fog and u/c collapsed Wentworth Golf Course, Surrey 13.1.40. SOC 28.1.40.

    24 Squadron 22.09.1938
    RAF Boscombe Down 27.09.1939
    109 Squadron 21.01.1941
