    Default 2nd TAF - abbreviations

We are hoping to include in the fourth (and last) volume of '2ndTAF' an example of a 'location statement' - a periodic document produced by 2ndTAF HQ that listed every 2ndTAF unit, with its location. A large number of abbreviations are used in the unit titles - we have managed to decipher most of them - except those listed below. Can anybody help? The units concerned are probably signals or stores related.
    AFAS
AFAP (AF in these two may stand for Air Formation)
    C & D Unit
    MDL
    MDS
    MDU
    S & T Col(umn?)

    No guesses please!

This is what I could find:

AFAP = Air Forces Arabian Peninsula.
    MDS = Main Dressing Station.

    Regards,
    Henk.

    Hello Chris
MDS was a USAAF abbreviation for Medical Squadron.
    MDU could be Medical Unit.

    Default Abbreviations

    Hi Chris

The bible "RAF T&S Units" seems to indicate a lot of similarity in role/function between "Store(s)" and "Park" so perhaps AFAS is Aviation Fuel & Ammunition Store?

Ken Delve's "Source Book of the RAF" gives "S&T = Supply and Transport (Column)"
