Default Fighter Command Missions in June 1943

    Hi,

I have read that fighters of Fighter Command supported since June 1943 the raids of Bomber Command. They patrolled night fighter air bases, operation "flower", and other aircraft were on "serrate" mission, like 141 Squadron.

Can anybody give me a hint which way the best is for finding more information about the night of 11./12.6.1943 and the tasks of Fighter Command concerning the support of Bomber Command?

I think that the War Room monthly summaries could be too global, but I do not really know.

    Thanks.

    Best wishes.

    Hi Marcel
If you're thinking of Fighter Command Mosquito squadrons, you can look up which those were, then maybe look at those squadrons' ORB's online on the National Archives website (should be clear enough to see much of the detail like that), then even download individual months' entries if you want proper copies?

    Hi Ian,
thanks for the hint to the preview of the files. I did not know that possibility until now.
I will have a look for a source to find the relevant squadrons.
