2 - Walrus I - 751 Sqn - W2753.
S/Lt. DE Smith, killed.
9 - Sea Hurricane I - 804 Sqn.
S/Lt. NRM Sutcliffe-Hatfield, OK.
12 - Albacore I - 817 Sqn - N4358.
Lt. EH Archer & LA. WM James, both killed.

S/Lt. AC Scott, killed.
17 - Swordfish I - 767 Sqn - L2825.
S/Lt. SJ Carpenter, DoI, 20/10/41.
22 - Seafire In - 761 Sqn - PA128
Pilot name ?
I have doubts about this "loss".
The only Loss that I could find is that of AC2c JG Savin RAFVR, who is recorded in CWGC as being a 797 Sqn airman. See the "Unaccounted Airman " thread for 22/10/41. I understand the Savin must have been in an RAF Regiment numbered 797 ( which I understand later became 2797 ?
The second thing is that of a/c PA128 .
As far as I have found ( and I may be wrong ?) is that Spitfire VB serial number AD252 was converted and became PA128.
So the a/c in 1941 would have been AD252. See Air Brit and "Spifire the history".
From what I understand AD252 would have been with 611 Sqn RAF on the 22/10/41.
"38 MU 17/09/41 - 611 Sqn 25/09/41 - 64 Sqn 14/11/41 - AST H, 21/03/42 - Converted to Seafire 1b and renumbered as PA128 in June 1943".
And "PA-PZ" has AD252 - 611/64/611 - to Seafire PA128 6.43.
So are we looking for a 611 Sqn loss ? There were four(?) on the previous day.
23 - Fulmar II - 800 Sqn - X8645.
S/Lt. JH Milk & S/Lt. FJ Stamper, both killed.
23 - Albacore I - 832 Sqn - N4253 (?) - Henk's number Y0014.
S/Lt. RJ Brown & LA. N Weldon, both OK.
But - N4253, engine failure, force landed in sea, Cat Z, 5/8/41 SLt. RJ Brown & LA. N Weldon both OK.
Henk's Y0014 for the 23/10/41 has crew listed as -S/Lt. PD Sayer, S/Lt. AK Hopkins & LA. N Weldon, all killed.
The connection is LA. N Weldon, but is it the same a/c N4253 on both occasions ?
27 - Proctor Ia - 758 Sqn - P6064.
MiD. DM Jones & NA2. AG Davis, both killed.
30 - Proctor Is - 756 Sqn - P6060.
S/Lt. P Fahrenholtz, killed. A/c collided with K5650.
30 - Shark II - 780 Sqn - K5650.
S/Lt. JE Hampson, OK(?). A/c collided with P6060.
