    Hello

    UK
    COLE, Roy Archibald - AC2c - 2369821 - registered Gloucester Rural.

TURNER, John William - LAC - 1418089 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at The City General Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent.
The inquest into his death was reported in the Staffordshire Sentinel of December 9th 1947. It reported that he had been admitted to hospital in 1944 whilst serving with the R.A.F., diagnosed with phlebitis of the right leg. He was later re-admitted with pulmonary infection. He had been discharged from the R.A.F. in 1946, and suffered from poor health. His death was due to thrombosis in the right renal vein and mulitiple pulmonary emboli due to chronic lung abscess.
When he had joined the R.A.F. he had been graded A1, but the Coroner recorded that it was very difficult to establish whether his illnesses were due to his R.A.F. service.

    Regards

    Simon
