45814 LAC Edward Vaughan DAVIS RAAF.
45814 LAC (Armourer) Edward Vaughan DAVIS RAAF, (ex-No.5 Embarkation Depot), was officially discharged from the RAAF on 3 August, 1944. He died from the effects of an undisclosed illness on 10 December, 1947, at the Albany Government Hospital, Western Australia. Davis, who had been ill for some time, had served in Darwin at the time of the first Japanese air attack and had never completely recovered from an obscure illness he contracted in the tropics. He had been a prominent member of his local, Tenterden (N.S.W.) Cricket Club.
