Flight engineer F W Puttock 183643

Hello , I’m hoping someone could help me with some information on the wartime career of flight engineer F W Puttock 183643
i know he was in the Atc around 1942, at one time was certainly a flight officer though I believe he may of come up through the ranks and post war was possibly on a lincoln squadron , any help filling in the gaps would be greatly appreciated Thankyou Nick.

His full name is Frederick William Puttock, previous s/no. 1451383. I'm sure others can fill in some of the gaps.

Thankyou so much Simon and Peter, is there any way off finding out what Sqn he would of gone on to after 1666 conversion unit??
it seems probable he would of flown operationally before wars end

Nick,
It's a relatively unusual Surname, so you might be lucky if somebody spots (or has spotted) that name in some other ORB, etc. Malcolm (on RAFWEB) was ex-RAFVR(T). He might know which ATC Sqn(s) Puttock worked with, and they in turn might know of his WW2 history (S'not what y'know, it's who y'know!!). And if all else fails you might have to go for his Service Record from Cranwell. Others on the Forum might have some bright ideas!!!!!!!!!!!

With regards to the 'M' bit, the Sussex Agricultural Express (!) of October 17h 1941 reported the following, which looks like it could be him:

Mr. F. W. Puttock and Miss E. E. Simmonds
The wedding took place at St. John's Church, Lewes, on Saturday, of Mr. Frederick William Puttock, youngest son of the late Mr. M. Puttock and of Mrs. Puttock, of 32, Leicester-road, Lewes, and Miss Ethel Elizabeth Simmonds, younger daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. Simmonds, of 77, New-road, Lewes.

It's small world! I did some of my earliest Familiarisation Flights in the Lincolns at Wittering! I might have met him!!!
