4531 F/Sgt William Alfred John CARR RAAF.

4531 F/Sgt William Alfred John CARR RAAF (of RAAF Station, Richmond, N.S.W.). was drowned on 27 December, 1947, in the Edwards River, at Deniliquin, New South Wales. F/Sgt Carr RAAF and a companion were in a tin canoe that capsized. Carr was in full uniform (including boots), which impeded him from reaching the river bank. His companion reached the shore, then dived back into the river, but could not locate Carr. Carr's body was located five hours later. An inquiry was conducted on 31 December, 1947, returning a finding of accidental death.

64407 Cpl Jack WALTERS RAAF (ex-No.3 School of Technical Training, Ultimo, N.S.W.) was officially discharged from the RAAF on 3 May, 1945. John Walters (as he was known to his family) died, 'suddenly' at his residence, 26 Griffiths St. Tempe, N.S.W., on 27 December, 1947.
